Rennes vs Bordeaux

Team News
Rennes
The news that Sanjin Prcic could miss up to a month with an ankle injury will only deepen Christian Gourcuff’s injury woes.
Benjamin Bourigeaud is a doubt after coming off against Montpellier, but Firmin N’dombé Mubélé should make his return at centre forward.
Youngster Léa-Siliki was fairly confident in defensive midfield last weekend and may keep his place as Gourcuff strives to avoid rushing Bourigeaud back to fitness.
Brandon impressed in the creative midfield role against Montpellier and could return to Gourcuff’s starting XI in the absence of Khazri.
Bordeaux
Lukas Lerager will miss out through suspension; look for Otávio to come back into the side, with Sankharé playing his customary box-to-box-role.
Youssouf Sabaly was back in the team against Monaco last weekend; his return saw Igor Lewczuk partner Jérémy Toulalan in central defence, with youngster Vukasin Jovanovic dropped to the bench.
Nicolas De Préville did everything but score against Monaco last weekend, and will keep his place. That said, his goal drought has underscored how fragile Bordeaux’s attack can be in the absence of strong play from Malcom.

Felipe Anderson, Dusan Basta, Wallace and Mauricio are also still injured for the home side.
Nice
Nice are set to be without Mickael Le Bihan, Jean Michael Seri and Wylan Cyprien on Thursday, while Mario Balotelli is one booking away from suspension.

Tottenham vs Real Madrid

Team News
Tottenham
Dele Alli is available in the Champions League for the first time this season and could come into the starting XI behind Harry Kane, though the England international is a doubt with a hamstring problem, but has trained with the squad ahead of Wednesday’s match.
Erik Lamela and Victor Wanyama will both miss out here, though Spurs’ injury issues have eased in recent weeks.
Mauricio Pochettino could use a defensive setup, with Eric Dier playing in defence once more and Jan Vertonghen at left-back as he did at the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid
Keylor Navas and Gareth Bale are both injured for Real Madrid and are joined by Jesus Vallejo and Mateo Kovacic on the sidelines.
Dani Carvajal has overcome a heart problem, but he is unlikely to feature and he continues to be monitored by the club.
Raphael Varane is ruled out for the away side having been forced off at half time in the 2-1 loss to Girona and could be replaced by Nacho in defence.

Burnley vs Newcastle United

Team News
Burnley
Chris Wood suffered a hamstring injury midway through the first half of Burnley’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City last weekend and is unlikely to recover in time here.
Sean Dyche will hope Sam Vokes can recover from his own injury in time to deputise in Wood’s expected absence.
Dean Marney and Nakhi Wells are both closing in on first-team returns but neither will start here.
Jonathan Walters and Tom Heaton remain Burnley’s only other injury concerns ahead of Monday’s meeting with Newcastle.
Newcastle United
Few changes are expected to the Newcastle side following their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace last time out, although Mikel Merino will be hoping for a recall after scoring a late winner off the bench.

Leicester vs Everton

Team News
Leicester
Leicester are once again without Matty James and Robert Huth for the welcome of Everton, while Adrien Silva is unavailable until January.
Claude Puel takes charge for the first time following his appointment on Wednesday night and may name the same side that overcame Swansea last weekend.
Everton
Idrissa Gueye is suspended for Everton and with Morgan Schneiderlin struggling with illness, James McCarthy could make his first Premier League start of the season alongside Tom Davies at the base of the midfield.
Ramiro Funes Mori, Ross Barkley, Seamus Coleman and Yannick Bolasie are all ruled out for the visitors here.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin may feature on the left flank here, while Aaron Lennon may keep his place in the side after a bright showing at Chelsea on Wednesday night.

Manchester United vs Tottenham

Team News
Manchester United
Manchester United should be boosted by the return of Eric Bailly and Phil Jones this weekend.
Paul Pogba has returned to training but it will surely come too soon for him to feature, which means Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera will continue in central midfield.
Maraoune Fellaini and Michael Carrick look set to miss out as well, leaving Jose Mourinho with few options in central midfield.
Marcus Rashford and Ander Herrera picked up knocks in the 2-0 win over Swansea on Tuesday and will be monitored closely.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo complete Mourinho’s injury concerns ahead of Saturday’s huge clash against Tottenham.
Jose Mourinho may look to mirror Tottenham’s formation on Satuday, which would leave Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan battling for a spot in attack.
Tottenham
Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele made comebacks in Tottenham’s midweek match against West Ham, but it might be too soon for Rose to start consecutive games after such a long injury lay-off.
Harry Kane will miss out after a scan confirmed a minor strain to his left hamstring, which could see Fernando Llorente start in his place on Saturday.
Mauricio Pochettino has sprung a few suprises with his team selection in recent weeks, so don’t be shocked if he continues in that fashion at Old Trafford.

Leeds vs Sheffield United

Team News
Leeds
After a switch in system paid dividends against Bristol City, Leeds will likely line up in a 4-3-3 for the second game running here.
Gaetano Berardi was sent off in the win over the Robins for a headbutt on Matty Taylor and will miss this clash through suspension. Vurnon Anita will replace him at left-back.
Pontus Jansson is back fit after featuring in the midweek Carabao Cup defeat to Leicester City.
Sheffield United
Chris Wilder will do a bit of tinkering following the 2-1 win over Reading. Clayton Donaldson could return to the side ahead of Leon Clarke, who spurned several goalscoring chances.
Simon Moore, Richard Stearman and Ched Evans are all out, but George Baldock is fully fit and made his return last weekend.

Fiorentina vs Torino

Team News
Fiorentina
Stefano Pioli has switched from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-3-3 by moving Marco Benassi back to the midfield.
Cyril Thereau has made the best impact of Fiorentina’s summer signings despite his age and the Frenchman should retain his place in the starting XI here.
Torino
Antonio Barreca is back at full fitness and is expected to start at left-back instead of Cristian Molinaro.
Alejandro Berenguer could find a spot in the starting XI given the poor recent performances of M’Baye Niang.

Inter vs Sampdoria

Team News
Inter
Luciano Spalletti is likely to stick with the same XI that started at Napoli, with no room for rotation.
The manager will want to continue with the lineup that is performing well and take advantage of a lack of European action.
Sampdoria
There are the usual selection issues in midfield, where Karol Linetty and Edgar Barreto are both fighting for one starting spot.
Emiliano Viviano has looked close to a full recovery in recent weeks, but his knee problem is keeping him sidelined for the time being.

Match Facts
Inter have won their last 5 home matches (Serie A). Inter win 1.44
There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Sampdoria’s last 3 games (Serie A). Over 2.5 goals 1.57

• Inter have obtained 23 points of 27 available and they are the only team to have stopped Napoli in Serie A so far. The Nerazzurri seem determined to stick with the teams that are pulling away from the chasing pack.
• Sampdoria could close the gap at the top as they are only six points behind Inter and have one game in hand, albeit against Roma. They have won three of their last four games and will provide Inter with a stern test.
• Expect this to be a balanced game, in which Inter could again rely on their defence, the best of the league so far, to snatch victory in a close game.
