While Ukraine secured the victory they needed in Kosovo it came at a price, with both Ivan Ordets and Artem Kravets picking up yellows that will see them miss Monday’s game.
The latter had led the line under Shevchenko and may now be replaced by 21-year-old Artem Besedin.
Centre-back Yaroslav Rakitskiy and youngsters Zinchenko and Kovalenko are both back available following suspensions.
Milan Badelj is back available having served a suspension for the match against Finland on Friday.
Holding an advantage over their hosts on goal difference, Zlatko Dalic may field a more defensive line-up, with the Fiorentina midfielder coming in to replace Andrej Kramaric.
Dejan Lovren is unlikely to feature due to a persistent achilles problem.
